In which Caleb calms down after Daddy sings "The Knot Song":

"The Knot Song"
Music & Lyrics by Caleb's Dad

They're knots, they're knots,

All those white things are knots.

You tie 'em with rope,
You tie 'em with string,
'Cause each one does a different thing.

They're knots, they're knots,
All those white things are knots.
Not only is it a catchy tune, it's educational, too.

Just to make you hungry, here's what I made for dinner tonight:

[It's just a pre-made pizza crust, topped with prepared alfredo sauce, shredded four-cheese blend (mozzarella, smoked provelone, asiago & romano), grilled chicken, fresh chopped garlic, red onion, green pepper, and roma tomato and baked according to the crust's directions. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and top with fresh basil when it comes out of the oven. Sorry, no leftovers.]

Weekend Wrap-up

We are back from our short trip to Dallas, where Caleb met most of my family for the first time. Here he is playing with his second cousin, Blake, who is thirteen months old:

Here's Caleb and Uncle Eric:

And Great Grandma Jo and her two great-grandsons:

(Yes, Caleb only weighs five pounds less than Blake, but he's also six inches shorter. So there, he's normal.)

And for some reason, my family has taken to referring to Caleb as "Winston". You make the call:

All in all, we had a great time visiting and catching up.

Caleb did come home with a souvenir, a 100-degree fever and a stuffy nose. So, I guess that's two souvenirs. Let's just say the stuffy nose made flying interesting.

He is feeling much better today, though he did stay home from what was to be his first day at day care.

So, no Daily Caleb today, he hasn't really been in the mood for pictures. (I know, that's never stopped me before, but I feel bad for the little guy being sick and all.)
